Program overview
The governing Terms expressly identify Kinsta Inc. as contractual operator of the Kinsta Affiliate Program.
Exact original launch date is not established. A 2026 changelog publication or update date must not be encoded as the original Affiliate Program launch date.
Documented contemplated participant categories are non-exclusive examples and do not establish a canonical target market.
The affiliate dashboard's eight documented languages are dashboard-localization evidence only and must not be converted into program-wide legal/support language availability.
Publisher access
Neither manual nor automatic alone accurately represents the documented architecture. The conditional distinction is preserved.
Documented examples are not transformed into an exhaustive eligibility taxonomy.
"Worldwide = true" is not authorized. The partial state is preserved with the sanctions boundary.
KYC is not established. Tax documentation is a separate requirement and must not be converted into an identity-verification / KYC claim.
No numerical minimum traffic requirement is established. A traffic threshold must not be derived from qualitative content requirements.
The jurisdictional qualification is retained. An unconditional global "18+" formulation is not published.
Commissions
Do not generalize the WordPress one-time and recurring economics to every Kinsta product.
This is Kinsta's own documented summary and may be used as such. It must not be interpreted as a continuous or synthetic range.
Qualifying revenue < US$50 → US$0
US$50–US$99.99 → US$50
US$100–US$165.99 → US$100
US$166–US$999.99 → US$150
US$1,000+ → US$500
Only the documented discrete outcomes are authorized. No interpolation between outcomes.
Plan changes recalculate the recurring commission against the qualifying plan economics. "10% lifetime on every Kinsta product" and unqualified "lifetime recurring" are not published.
Both wordings are preserved. The value is not converted into exactly 60 days, exactly 61 days, or another synthetic day/hour threshold.
No universal Program-level commission rate is established. The US$50–US$500 summary and the 10% recurring rate are product-bounded.
Documented affiliate tiers Starter / Experienced / Pro / Master are status/perk tiers, not commission-rate tiers.
Tracking
The cookie is stored by the browser used to click the Affiliate Link. A later qualifying Affiliate Link click in the same browser can set a new cookie and overwrite the previous one.
Browser-specific tracking is verified. Cross-device attribution and cross-browser continuity are not established. Cross-device continuity must not be inferred from Kinsta's technical platform.
No authoritative current first-party evidence establishes affiliate SubID functionality.
No authoritative current first-party evidence establishes affiliate postback / S2S conversion functionality.
No dedicated Affiliate Program API is established. Broader Kinsta company APIs are not inherited into the Affiliate Program.
Bounded: Kinsta-site custom destination linking. This does not establish arbitrary off-domain destination support.
Attribution
A later qualifying Affiliate Link click in the same browser can reset attribution within that window.
Mechanics: a later qualifying Affiliate Link clicked in the same browser replaces the previous affiliate cookie. Signup attribution follows the qualifying cookie in the browser used for signup.
Payments
Contradiction preserved.
Governing Terms: balance ≥ US$50.
Current FAQ: balance > US$50.
The two sources do not agree exactly. The structured value uses the governing Terms (US$50); the FAQ's stricter formulation is preserved here.
Kinsta does not assume responsibility for transaction fees imposed by the payment provider.
Account credit is an internal conversion / transfer mechanism, not a second equivalent external cash payout rail. The US$500 credit-transfer threshold is distinct from the US$50 ordinary payout threshold.
US-dollar denomination of commissions and thresholds does not establish USD-only PayPal settlement.
Qualification-stage invalidation and broader refund setoff are separate documented mechanisms and are not collapsed into a synthetic clawback rule or hold period.
Promotional and channel restrictions
Unrestricted bulk email is not authorized.
This does not prove that every non-link mention of Kinsta on social media is prohibited. The direct-link prohibition is not broadened to all social promotion.
Paid search is not flattened to a binary "prohibited" value; the owned-intermediary exception is preserved.
An unqualified universal ban is not published; the actual documented scope is preserved.
Restrictions on affiliate-network link placement do not establish a complete contractual sub-affiliation rule.
General anti-fraud and anti-cookie-stuffing provisions do not create a dedicated toolbar / browser-extension rule.
Terms and restrictions
Material post-termination commission consequence preserved as a governance condition.
Network / Platform Relationship
Kinsta operates its own affiliate tracking and dashboard infrastructure and does not use a third-party affiliate network. No PartnerStack, Impact, Partnerize, Awin, CJ or other external affiliate network is established.
Important context
Material boundaries preserved from the canonical factual record.
Institutional boundaries
- The Kinsta Affiliate Program is distinct from the Kinsta Customer Referral Program, the Kinsta Agency Partner Program, referral-credit arrangements, agency benefits and other Kinsta / Sevalla partnership structures. Brand or infrastructure overlap does not establish program identity.
- Kinsta Inc. is the contractual operator of the Kinsta Affiliate Program.
Current commission scope
Current quantified commission architecture is scoped to Managed WordPress Hosting / WordPress referrals. The WordPress one-time and recurring economics are not generalized to every Kinsta product. No current quantified commission structure is authorized for other Kinsta / Sevalla services under the current Affiliate Program documentation.
One-time commission methodology
US$50–US$500 is Kinsta's own documented public summary and may be used as such. It must not be interpreted as a continuous or synthetic range. Only the discrete documented outcomes are authorized: qualifying revenue < US$50 → US$0; US$50–US$99.99 → US$50; US$100–US$165.99 → US$100; US$166–US$999.99 → US$150; US$1,000+ → US$500. No intermediate amounts are manufactured.
Recurring commission scope
Recurring commission is 10%, scoped to qualifying WordPress referrals. Recurring commission can continue for the lifetime of the qualifying referred customer while the qualifying WordPress plan remains active. Plan upgrades, downgrades and other plan changes recalculate the recurring commission against the qualifying plan economics. Annual WordPress plans may have eligible recurring commission approved in a lump rather than twelve monthly installments.
Qualification boundary
Kinsta's operational label is a 2-month qualification period. The detailed methodology uses the stricter wording that the referred customer must remain active for more than 2 months before the one-time commission is calculated and approved. Both wordings are preserved. No synthetic precise day boundary is invented.
Refund and setoff
Two distinct mechanisms are documented: (A) qualification-stage invalidation following refund / cancellation during the qualification period; (B) broader refund setoff against future affiliate commissions. They are not collapsed into a synthetic clawback rule.
Historical economics — not current
Older Kinsta documentation recorded Application Hosting 5% recurring and Database Hosting 5% recurring affiliate economics, without a WordPress-style one-time commission. These values are historical only and must not populate current Affiliate Program fields. They are preserved in the evidence record to prevent stale documentation from contaminating the current canonical record.
Tracking and attribution
60-day browser cookie. Last-touch attribution: a later qualifying Affiliate Link clicked in the same browser replaces the previous affiliate cookie; signup attribution follows the qualifying cookie in the browser used for signup. Tracking is browser-specific. Cross-device attribution and cross-browser continuity are not established. SubID, postback / S2S and a dedicated Affiliate Program API are not established. Deeplinking is bounded to Kinsta-site custom destinations.
Manual tracking investigation
An apparently missing referral may be raised with Kinsta within the documented 14-day period after subscription for investigation. This is an investigation mechanism, not a guaranteed manual-attribution right.
Payments
External cash payout method: PayPal. Payment frequency: monthly; payment window: 15th–20th. Account credit: separate internal transfer option for approved affiliate earnings into MyKinsta hosting credits, with a minimum of US$500 in approved commissions. Account credit is not a second external cash payout method. The US$50 ordinary payout threshold is distinct from the US$500 account-credit transfer threshold. Payout currencies are not established; USD denomination does not establish USD-only settlement.
Tax documentation vs KYC
Tax documentation: required when requested (for example, Form W-9). This requirement must not be converted into a KYC claim. KYC remains not established.
Site Transfer / Affiliate ID
Kinsta documents a Site Transfer referral workflow in which an Affiliate ID can be entered and an Affiliate Link is subsequently delivered to the prospective customer.
Affiliate tiers
Documented affiliate tiers Starter / Experienced / Pro / Master are affiliate status / perk tiers. They are not documented commission-rate tiers and must not be used to construct variable commission rates.
Dashboard languages vs program-wide languages
The affiliate dashboard is documented in eight languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese and Japanese. These are dashboard languages. Program-wide language support is not established; dashboard localization must not be generalized into complete program-wide legal / support language availability.
Channel restriction boundaries
- Paid search: direct PPC affiliate traffic to Kinsta is prohibited; Kinsta brand bidding is prohibited; non-branded paid advertising to affiliate-owned intermediary content is permitted.
- Social: direct affiliate-link placement on ordinary third-party social / content platforms is prohibited, with documented exceptions for video-streaming platforms and open-source code repositories. Non-link social mention is not covered by this prohibition.
- Coupon / deal sites: prohibited.
- Cashback / incentivized traffic: prohibited.
- Self-referral: prohibited.
- Cookie stuffing: prohibited.
- Affiliate disclosure: required.
- Link cloaking / masking: restricted / condition-bound.
- Third-party traffic sources: restricted / prohibited subject to documented exceptions.
- Sub-affiliation and toolbar / browser-extension policy: not established.
Governance
Unilateral Terms-change authority: verified. Commission-change authority: verified. Referred-customer removal authority: verified. Broad termination authority: verified. Material post-termination commission consequence: verified (Kinsta has no further obligations to the Affiliate, including payment of pending or previously earned commissions).
Launch chronology
Public launch year 2018 is historically verified. Exact original launch date is not established. A 2026 changelog publication or update date must not be encoded as the original Affiliate Program launch date.
